Information for Your Application
We are looking forward to receiving applications by people during their training and further education, who will pursue a scientific stay abroad starting between September each year and August the following year.
The upcoming application period starts March 25, 2024 (CET) and ends May 31, 2024 (CET).
For detailed information please refer to the "Charter and Guidelines".
The Human Resources department at SCHOTT's headquarters in Mainz, Germany administers the international selection process for the foundation (therefore the application form of SCHOTT is used).
Please add only the following documents (in English) to your application:

Letter of motivation (Why are you applying? What is the scientific purpose of your stay abroad? What are the potential starting and ending date, as well as the period of the stay abroad?)

Curriculum Vitae / Resume

One-pager of how you personally have been supporting international exchange by voluntary, extra-curricular or off-the-job activities

Certificates / References (max. your two most current documents)

Official transcript of records (current grades or last educational certificate) including grading scale

Letter of confirmation of the foreign university, institution or company (with reference to the scientific stay abroad you are applying for)

Overview of estimated costs for the stay abroad, incl. indication of sources (only additional costs compared to current living country, i.e. higher costs of living, including, without limitation, university fees)

Written confirmation that the stay abroad you are applying for is not being funded publicly or privately by other sources

Please note:
Applications/documents that are submitted after May 31 (CET) cannot be considered. For the same reason do not modify your application after this deadline (e.g. uploading or exchanging documents).
Please also take into consideration that the application documents will not be checked as to their completeness; applicants can upload missing documents at any time to their application by using their login until the deadline mentioned above.
